HOLA !

Today, I am excited to be sharing my thoughts on the Kids’ Candor Bilingual & Educational Subscription Box. I was sent a subscription box from Kids’ Candor in exchange for an honest review, please read my Disclaimer page for further information. All opinions are my own.

You probably already figured out by my last name [Lopez] that I am from a Hispanic background. I was born in Santa Barbara, Guatemala. Say WORD?! Yes it is true. My family immigrated to Canada in 1993 and we have been here ever since. Fun Fact about me: I was in ESL for Kindergarten and Grade 1, I had a very thick accent and had trouble learning. At the time, my parents were brand new immigrants and they did not know how to speak a word of English. Thus, why I had problems in the first few years in school. Of course, we eventually learned and “mastered” English and Spanish became our second language.

Fast forward a couple decades, I now regret that I do not speak my native language fluently. Don’t get me wrong, I can keep a Spanish conversation going, I also read and write in Spanish, but I will admit that I am not fluent. Though.. my sister and my brother can speak really well, I just don’t know what happened to me  🙂

Now that I have children of my own, it is the upmost importance for me to teach them to speak Spanish. Enter, Kids’ Candor. Kids’ Candor provides various Educational Kits ranging for kids of ages 0-6 months to 3 years and up. We have had our Kid’s Candor box for about a month now and I have really seen excitement to learn from both Jay & Abel. Even though this particular kit is geared to a child more Abel’s age, Jayden really enjoys helping his little brother learn. Which is fantastic for me, because I have a hard time something that they will both enjoy.

Abel absolutely loves the Bilingual Alphabet / El Alfabeto CD by Kids’ Candor Original music that includes 12 tracks to help your child learn the ABCs in both English and Spanish. The lyrics in both languages are included. It also doesn’t hurt that I am brushing up on my Spanish. Its a win a win for us !
