Let’s be real here, being a third time mom is probably going to be a gong show. Well…at least for the first couple of months. Not only is it a change for me but it will also be a whole new world for Jayden and Abel, where they’re both adjusting to their new roles of being big brothers.

We’re hoping that PlaytexBaby’s new DC Super Friends™ mealtime sets help Abel easily transition into “big bro” status. He’s obsessed with anything superhero, so these new sets are definitely on high rotation in our house. If you love PlaytexBaby like we do then keep scrolling for a great deal below!

I’m definitely no home maker and every fiber in my being is screaming “oh god, why are you doing this to yourself again?!”. Because, I’m crazy and you’re crazy and that’s why you’re reading this ;). As a #PlaytexMom, I’ve learned to celebrate the unexpected and boy are we ever!

Being mentally ready has been a major part of preparing for the new baby. I know, that I have to be in the right state of mind  to welcome and accept the chaos. As of this moment, I am. Though, I do know that it will be an uphill battle once baby makes his/her appearance.

After much thought and consideration, I’ve been able to pinpoint 6 things that I’ll totally be okay with when I become a third time mom.

Not having a clean house

Yeah this. Unfolded laundry, and piles of dishes are going straight out the window for the first few months. I have already accepted that I will be hiring help at least once a month. Every penny spent, will be worth my sanity.

Not Documenting every milestone

Oh god, I can’t even keep up with how many weeks pregnant I am, the last thing I want to do is document every single milestone for this new baby. Every poop, every sneeze, every movement will not be documented. Sorry baby, you’re getting the short end of the stick. Mommy still loves you though.

Saying yes to help and Saying no to unwanted visitors

I’m more than happy to accept help from family and friends. What I can’t accept is the array of unwanted visitors. If you come over to watch the baby while I sleep, that’s another story. Also, visitors with misbehaved children will be told to leave.

Making time for me

This goes back to mental health. If I’m not being mentally stimulated or mentally “full”, then I won’t be able to be the best version of me. Taking “time out” days are extremely important for any mom. Your sanity is priceless.

Being perfectly imperfect

Raising a happy and healthy is my number one priority. Being the perfect mother is not my goal, however, being the best version of myself, for the sake of my children is. PlaytexBaby supports every decision you make, as long as it’s with your baby’s health and happiness in mind!

Spending quality time with each child

Life is busy, so is motherhood. Making time for each of my children is extremely important. If that means taking twenty minutes every few days to go the basketball court with Jayden or scheduling ten minutes to read to Abel at bedtime, then that’s what I’ll have to do!   Building in a time where they can both use their imagination makes reading and playing extra fun for all of us.

Turns outs, PlaytexBaby also recognizes the importance of early childhood literacy as much as I do and have this fabulous new program. As a part of their new #PlaytexReads program, anytime you purchase a children’s book from Amazon.ca, you will receive $5.00 off of a select PlaytexBaby product beginning March 29 through April 26, 2017! Exclusions apply please refer to Amazon.ca for more details.

Love this post, Heydy! Being a perfect mom is unattainable and overrated anyway! 🙂

Lol.. even second baby got the short of the stick, I can only image how many less photos a third would get in my house lol!

  3. These are some of the reasons I considered a third baby! I thought I might make better choices next time. Love this post

Love this! As a mama of three, I totally agree with these points. You’ve got this my friend!

  5. LOL girl. i’m pregnant with baby #3 as well, and i haven’t even bought a baby book. the first ultrasound pics are stashed in a file folder in a desk. I’m TOTALLY okay with your list and i COMPLETELY agree with everything and anything written here. going on with your unwanted visitor/misbehaving children thing — maybe its me being a big germaphobe, but toddlers/kids are gross – please don’t come around my newborn…
best of luck to you mama! you’re gonna be a mom of three so soon!
ps.. hell yes for early literacy! yay playtex!

    • hehe you’re comment made me smile! Miguel literally ruined one of our ultrasound pics and so now we only have 2 really good ones that are hidden. LOL! thanks for your lovely comment <3

Frig, yes… say no to visitors. Be a hermit, claim that first month with your little one to yourself. Soak up that newborn phase because in the blink of an eye it is gone.

Yes… especially the visitors. Everyone loves a fresh baby but they seem to forget that these early days are an adjustment period for the household. I would have guests staying WAY pass their welcome and it drove me nuts!

    • thank you!!! If there to help and not make me work then maybe its ok for a longer stay, if not, #byefelicia 😉

  9. Love the plates!! We use playtex everything!

  10. What an awesome promotion they’re running through Amazon!
I’ve totally became much more laid back with a second kid. It’s just too hard and unneeded stress to be so hard on yourself with multiple kids.
