Well, you’re in luck, because I’m going to spill all the babywearing beans today!
Babywearing Made Parenting Easier
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been afraid to babywear. Probably because I knew nothing about it. Plus, 10 years ago, babywearing wasn’t so mainstream as it is now.
After I gave birth to Abel, I tried babywearing him with a ring sling. I could NEVER figure it out and gave up rather quickly.
Now with Isaiah, I’m finally comfortable with babywearing and “wear” him most of the day. With that being said, I tend to rotate through three different carriers.
I need two free hands to deal with my toddler!
How to Select the Right Baby Carrier For You
Wraps vs Ring Slings vs Soft Buckle Carriers
As a consumer, I purchase items that are tailored to my individual needs. Purchasing multiple carriers can be pricey, so you have to make sure that you do your research!
- What will you be using it for?
- How long do you want to wear your baby?
- Previous injuries? This one is extremely important!
- What do you prefer?
From soothing a newborn to hiking up a trail, make sure you select a carrier that fits your every lifestyle.
Here are a few of my favourite brands
Babywearing has completely changed my mindset of newborns. If I see you, and you have a newborn, I’m pulling out my wrap, sling, ergo to wear them. Let it be known!
